The lineup for WWE superstars keeps changing over the years as new people join and old ones leave, with the show and events carrying on just as they always did. New faces pull more of an audience and the lineup rarely remains the same for the wrestling categories within the WWE, which also means the series of video games has to keep up with these changes.
Although WWE 2K18 is expected to release next year, the changes in the lineup of 2017 will determine what superstars make it to being playable characters in the game. This article is to give you a slight idea of who might be added. One thing to keep in mind is that new faces will definitely join during the year, which might mean sudden changes and since the game will release near the end of the year, it’s very probable that the superstars aren’t the same as the predictions we lay down in this article.
Current Superstars Who Will Stay
Since the new superstars who might join are very tentative and unpredictable, let’s jot down the famous names that are sure to stay at least until the next year. This will miss out a lot of names since the WWE 2K17 video game itself included a roster of an impressive 156 playable characters. We’ll stick to just some of the fundamental superstars of WWE.
Superstars like the Big Show, Sheamus, Brock Lesner, Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Chris Jericho, Fandango, Shane McMahon and Jack Swagger will be included in the game almost indefinitely. Adding to that, the absolute favorites like John Cena, Kane, Randy Orton, The Rock, Triple H and the Undertaker will be in the video game’s rosters as well.
Possible WWE Legends
These are a bunch of characters that are added into every WWE game to be either unlockable or introduced in the main selection of playable characters. Although the options might change, it’s very much possible that the WWE legends that WWE 2K18 will include Andre the Giant, Bret Hart, Edge, Booker T, Bam Bam Bigelow, Arn Anderson, JBL, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Tatsumi Fujinami.
WWE 2k18 Superstars Who Are Expected to Return
There have been a few superstars of the WWE who left in between and some of them are expected to return in 2017 to compete once more. It is also expected to change what players are included in the game, and most of these will probably be added to the list of playable characters.
One of these superstars is Sheldon Benjamin (who is a former Intercontinental Champion) as well as Finn Balor (who is the first Universal Champion from WWE. Another notable mention that may join is Hulk Hogan who is one of the most famous superstars in WWE.
Although these are very rough predictions about who will be included in the rosters and there is a high probability that the included superstars will be different, we hope that this article gave you a slight idea of what to look forward to.
